A REBEL'S CASE:

la-on

make legal services visible, understandable and accessible? With strategic content, smart campaigns and a strong brand identity, la-on grows into a reference within the legal profession and debt collection.

The challenge

la-on is a law firm with a clear mission: debt recovery, credit management and legal support to make it more accessible, more people-centred and more efficient for entrepreneurs, SMEs, CFOs and co-owners.

In a sector that is often perceived as aloof, complex or tough, la-on has consciously opted for a different approach. One that is more transparent, clearer and more focused on collaboration. Not just processing cases, but helping entrepreneurs to get to grips with outstanding invoices, cash flow and legal risks.

This positioning calls for communication that is as clear and accessible as the service itself.

So the challenge lay not only in raising our profile, but above all in building a stronger brand identity, a clearer digital presence and a marketing approach that clearly highlights the difference between la-on and traditional debt collection agencies or law firms.

In addition, la-on is constantly evolving. Its range of services is expanding, its target audience is being defined more precisely, digital tools are becoming more important, and the need for lead generation, trust, expert content, reviews, video content and innovation continues to grow.

Today we are supporting la-on as a regular 360° marketing partner. We don’t just create individual campaigns; we develop a strategic approach that evolves in line with their ambitions, target audience and commercial operations.

la-on

Our approach

What began as a collaboration focusing on communication and digital visibility has developed into a broad strategic partnership in which Rebel Agency supports la-on in the areas of branding, website, content, social media, video content, performance marketing, Google Business Profile, reviews, email marketing, app communication, innovation, GEO, AI discoverability and data analysis.

The foundations were laid with a clear brand strategy, a stronger positioning and a recognisable communication strategy. This foundation ensures that la-on consistently presents itself to the outside world as a modern, approachable and results-oriented legal partner for entrepreneurs.

Everything above that is constantly evolving. The website is being made more visually appealing and impactful, content is being developed on an ongoing basis, and LinkedIn is being expanded as expertise channel, campaigns are set up and fine-tuned, reviews are followed up on, and video content is used to build trust and the la-on app is strategically launched onto the market.

Not a series of isolated campaigns, but an integrated marketing approach which helps LA-ON to have a more visible, more human, more professional and commercially stronger presence in the market.

Positioning

La-on operates in a sector where trust is crucial. Business owners want to be sure that their cases are handled correctly, professionally and with sound legal grounds, but at the same time they do not want communication that is unnecessarily complicated or impersonal.

That is why the collaboration began with the question: how can we make la-on’s expertise more accessible without compromising its credibility?

We refined our positioning around a number of clear pillars: legal expertise, humanity, transparency, efficiency and focus on results. la-on was not intended to come across as a traditional debt collection agency, but as a partner that helps business owners tackle unpaid invoices and legal issues more effectively.

We carry this positioning through to all our communications – from social media and LinkedIn to our website, newsletters, campaigns, video content, presentations, events and the app.

This creates a distinctive style: professional enough for CFOs, entrepreneurs and companies, but accessible enough to lower legal barriers.

Website

For la-on, the website is an important first point of contact. Potential customers often visit the site with a specific enquiry regarding debt recovery, credit management, unpaid invoices, co-ownership right or legal advice for their business.

The website should not only look professional, but above all make it clear straight away what la-on stands for and how la-on can support business owners.

That is why we are continuously working on the website. We are creating the pages more visual, more human and more accessible, so that la-on does not come across as a distant debt collection agency or a traditional law firm, but as a modern legal partner that communicates clearly and provides practical support.

We are enhancing the website with a clear structure, improved visuals, stronger calls to action, recognisable photography, video content, case studies, expert content and landing pages tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs, CFOs, SMEs, the self-employed and co-owners.

As well as traditional SEO, we also make the website more robust for GEO: Generative Engine Optimisation. This means that content must not only be discoverable on Google, but must also be understandable, quotable and usable for AI search environments such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini and other smart assistants.

That is why we are working on clear content structures centred on themes such as debt collection, debt recovery, credit management, collect out of court, judicial recovery, unpaid invoices, co-ownership right, legal proceedings, cash flow and legal advice for business owners.

We ensure clear headings, specific answers, FAQs, internal links, local signals, expert content and clear context surrounding la-on’s services. This not only makes the website stronger for search engines, but also for the new ways in which business owners search for information online.

The website should not only provide information, but also encourage action. That is why we optimise its structure with a view to enquiries, intake interviews, enquiries regarding quotations, file requests, downloads and commercial follow-up.

We analyse where visitors drop off, which pages have the most potential and which topics could convert better. Based on this, we refine the copy, visuals, buttons, forms and landing pages.

This is how the website is created a living channel that continues to grow with la-on’s positioning, campaigns and commercial objectives.

“A wolf is smart, sharp and loyal. It senses its surroundings perfectly and strikes at the right moment. At Rebel agency, we work the same way. When you belong to the wolf pack, you get a partner who is always by your side. Because once in the pack, always in the pack.”

Social media

a. Content strategy

For la-on, social media is not a channel for one-off posts, but a way to legal expertise to make it accessible. We translate complex topics into clear content that entrepreneurs, CFOs and SMEs can understand and relate to.

In doing so, we combine subject-matter expertise with an accessible tone of voice. Topics such as unpaid invoices, credit management, debt recovery, co-ownership right, cash flow, legal pitfalls, payment behaviour and customer relations are turned into posts, carousels, LinkedIn content, campaigns and newsletters.

The content needs to build trust before a specific need arises. Many business owners only think about debt recovery when a problem arises, but through social media, la-on stays top-of-mind much earlier on.

b. Video content

Video content plays an important role in the positioning by la-on. Legal services require trust, and video helps to showcase the people behind la-on.

We use video to showcase our expertise more human and more accessible to produce. These might include short expert videos, explanations of frequently asked questions, content on debt collection and accounts receivable management, atmospheric footage, event content, behind-the-scenes footage, customer-focused formats and videos featuring the la-on team themselves.

This video content is used not only on social media, but also on the website, in adverts, newsletters, presentations and campaigns. This gives La-on a stronger brand identity and lower the barrier to getting in touch.

c. LinkedIn as a platform for showcasing expertise

For la-on, LinkedIn is one of the most important channels for reaching entrepreneurs, CFOs, business owners and other business decision-makers. That is why we focus on it much more intensively than we do for most other clients, both via organic content, personal profiles, targeted LinkedIn promotions and adverts.

The strategy is not based solely on the company page. We are deliberately building on this from a personal profile, because business relationships on LinkedIn are, first and foremost, formed between people. Through existing connections, new relevant contacts and meaningful interaction, we build a network centred on trust.

This means that we don’t just publish content, but also actively connect with people, respond to them, initiate conversations and share our expertise through a recognisable face. This creates a much more natural relationship with entrepreneurs and decision-makers than if all communication were to come exclusively from a company page.

We are organically building a clear position of expertise. We translate legal topics, current issues, practical insights, events, case studies and developments in debt recovery and credit management into accessible content. This ensures that la-on remains visible to the right target audience, even when there is no immediate legal need.

LinkedIn is also actively used as a paid distribution channel. Via LinkedIn Campaign Manager We promote relevant content, services, events, job vacancies, expert videos and strategic campaigns to carefully selected business profiles.

Our campaigns are aimed at, amongst others, CFOs, finance managers, entrepreneurs, business owners and other decision-makers within relevant companies and sectors. To this end, we use targeted selection criteria based on role, seniority, company size, sector and professional interests.

In this way, we do not limit ourselves to the organic reach of the company page. We deliberately amplify strong content and ensure it reaches the right decision-makers. In three months, we reached more than 34,000 CFO profiles.

By personal connections, organic expert content and paid LinkedIn campaigns By connecting people, LinkedIn is developing into a fully-fledged channel for thought leadership, reputation building, event promotion and high-quality lead generation.

d. Accessibility via Instagram and Facebook

As well as LinkedIn, we also Instagram and Facebook to make LA-ON more human and relatable. That’s where we showcase the people behind the office, events, atmosphere, milestones, job vacancies, behind-the-scenes moments and more accessible legal content.

These channels ensure that la-on is not only recognised as a law firm, but also as a company with a distinct culture, a recognisable team and a modern approach to communication.

Performance marketing

As well as organic communication, we run targeted campaigns for la-on via LinkedIn, Meta and Google. Each channel is assigned its own role within the broader marketing strategy.

Through LinkedIn, we reach entrepreneurs, CFOs, finance managers, business owners and other business decision-makers in a highly targeted manner. We use the platform to promote expert content, services, events, job vacancies, video content and commercial campaigns to target audiences that align with la-on’s services.

We use Meta to increase our visibility, retargeting, video campaigns, event communications, employer branding and campaigns that showcase the human and approachable side of the office. In this way, we not only reach business decision-makers, but we also continue to visible among people who have previously come into contact with LA-ON.

Via Google Ads We capitalise on an existing search intent. We reach businesses and entrepreneurs who are actively seeking support with unpaid invoices, debt collection, receivables management or legal advice. In this way, we bring la-on to the fore at the very moment when the need is most pressing.

Campaigns are linked to clear landing pages, relevant calls to action and correct conversion tracking. Among other things, we track reach, clicks, website behaviour, contact enquiries, downloads, event registrations and the quality of incoming leads.

We use the data we collect to continuously refine our target audiences, adverts, content and landing pages. For la-on, performance marketing is therefore not a separate advertising budget, but an integrated system which contributes to visibility, trust, event activation and high-quality commercial leads.

Google Business Profile

For la-on, Google Business Profile is not a traditional local search channel. It is, above all, an important reputation channel For entrepreneurs, CFOs and businesses looking for a partner to assist with debt recovery, accounts receivable management or legal support.

Anyone considering a law firm or debt collection partner bases that decision largely on trust. Potential clients want to know whether cases are handled professionally, whether communication is handled correctly, and whether la-on deals with both clients and debtors in a humane and transparent manner. Online reputation therefore plays an important role in the initial selection process.

We manage and optimise the Google Business Profile on an ongoing basis. We ensure that business details are accurate, services are clearly described, images are up to date and relevant updates are posted to showcase la-on’s expertise and operations.

In addition, we developed a targeted Review strategy for customers and debtors. Once a case has been closed, the parties involved are invited, in a thoughtful and accessible manner, to share their experiences. In this way, we not only gather feedback from clients, but also gain an insight into how debtors perceive la-on’s human and professional approach.

New reviews are responded to promptly and in detail. Positive experiences are highlighted, critical feedback is carefully addressed, and unfair reviews are contested where possible. In this way, la-on demonstrates that it listens, takes responsibility and communicates transparently.

This structured approach led to the average Google review score rising from 2.1 to 4.0 stars. This result not only boosts the company’s online reputation, but also provides potential customers with tangible proof of the quality and reliability of its services.

Strategic consultancy and customer insight

Our role is not limited to operational marketing. At la-on, we also contribute strategic input on positioning, target audience, services, customer insights, commercial opportunities and how communication can be better tailored to the market.

We analyse which target groups offer the greatest potential, which messages resonate most strongly, and how la-on can distinguish itself even more clearly from traditional debt collection agencies, law firms and legal service providers.

We also take into account insights from campaigns, social media, website behaviour, reviews, customer conversations and commercial feedback. Based on this, we adjust our content, campaigns, landing pages, presentations and commercial initiatives.

In this way, the marketing approach evolves in line with the realities of the business and is not limited to visibility, but also supports strategic growth.

Events

For la-on, events are a key tool for bringing together customers, prospects, partners and staff. Rebel Agency supports these occasions not only with content or promotion, but also takes on the strategic and creative support from start to finish on.

We work with you to define the objective, the target audience and the central concept of each event. From there, we develop the entire communication strategy: naming, campaign concept, invitations, registrations, save-the-dates, visuals, presentations, social media content, email campaigns, printed materials, signage and on-site communications. We also monitor the schedule, liaise with the relevant partners and ensure that all elements form a coherent whole, both in terms of content and visual presentation.

A major milestone was the celebration of 25 years of la-on. For this anniversary, we supported the entire organisation of the event, from the initial concept and the invitations to the visual design, communications and follow-up. The celebration thus became more than just a festive occasion: it brought clients, business associates and staff together to reflect on the firm’s history, growth and future.

Also at Credit Expo Belgium We are taking on a wide-ranging role. We are supporting la-on with the preparations for the trade fair, its positioning as a Gold Partner, the development of the stand concept, presentations, invitations, campaigns and practical communication materials. For the 2026 edition, participation was linked to the official launch of the la-on app under the concept Yoga for Finance. We translated that positioning into a recognisable creative narrative and supported the communications before, during and after the event.

In addition, we support la-on with social and community initiatives, such as the charity concert featuring Glitterpaard for Little Hearts vzw and participation in Business and Bikes. Here, too, we look beyond the promotion itself. We help refine the message, develop the communication tools, support the activation and ensure consistent follow-up across the various channels.

The work doesn’t stop once the event is over. We continue to incorporate photos, videos, insights and feedback into social media, newsletters, the website and commercial follow-up. In this way, every event becomes an integrated campaign that not only makes an impact on the day itself, but also continues to contribute to visibility, relationships and trust in the long term.

Strategic consulting & customer insight

Our role at la-on is not limited to day-to-day marketing. We also contribute strategic input on positioning, target audiences, service provision, customer experience, commercial opportunities and how communication can be better aligned with the market.

We analyse which target groups offer the greatest potential, which messages resonate most strongly, and how la-on can distinguish itself even more clearly from traditional debt collection agencies, law firms and other legal service providers.

In doing so, we do not rely solely on insights from campaigns, social media, website behaviour, reviews, customer conversations and commercial feedback. We have also developed a process involving anonymous customer visits and conversations, based on research methods relating to customer experience and service quality drawn from Harvard studies.

This enabled us to assess the entire experience objectively: from the initial contact and responsiveness to the clarity of communication, follow-up, personalised approach and overall satisfaction. The findings were analysed in a structured manner and translated into specific areas for improvement and recommendations.

Among other things, we identified:

  • which customers are particularly satisfied with;
  • which factors strengthen trust and loyalty;
  • where communication could be clearer or more personal;
  • which processes run smoothly and where friction arises;
  • how the overall customer experience can be further improved.

We use these insights as direct input for the communication strategy, website, customer follow-up, review strategy, campaigns, presentations, internal processes and commercial positioning.

In this way, the marketing approach evolves in line with the realities of the business. It is not limited to visibility, but also supports La-on in service optimisation, customer focus and strategic growth.

Apps and digital innovation

A key part of the collaboration is the realisation of the la-on app. This app forms part of la-on’s wider ambition to make debt recovery simpler, faster and more accessible for business owners.

The app addresses a clear need: business owners do not want a complicated or time-consuming process for settling an unpaid invoice. They want to be able to act quickly, without having to send emails, search for documents or deal with uncertainty about the status of their case.

That is why we are helping to devise a digital solution for that process. The app should make it possible to forward an invoice easily, have data recognised automatically, create a file and make the follow-up process clearer.

We are supporting la-on with the strategic development, positioning and communication relating to the app. In doing so, we focus not only on the technical functionality, but above all on the added value for the user: fewer administrative hurdles, a clearer overview, faster case initiation and a more modern experience.

The app strengthens la-on’s positioning as innovative legal partner. Not just as a firm that handles debt recovery, but as a company that considers how accounts receivable management can be made smarter, more efficient and more accessible.

Communication relating to the app will also form part of the broader marketing strategy. From the website and social media to video content, newsletters, presentations, events and performance campaigns: the app will not be a stand-alone project, but a strategic component of the brand and la-on’s commercial operations.

Data and continuous optimisation

As this collaboration is an ongoing process, we do not limit ourselves to a single strategy. The market is changing, target groups respond differently, legal issues are evolving, and digital channels are becoming increasingly important in the way entrepreneurs seek information and choose partners.

That is why we are constantly analysing what works. We look at website behaviour, social media performance, LinkedIn reach, campaign insights, review evolution, email results, lead quality and commercial feedback.

What kind of content builds trust? Which target audience responds most strongly? Which legal issues are of most concern to business owners? Which campaigns generate high-quality leads? Which pages deserve more attention? What insights can we use for the website, app or sales follow-up?

By systematically incorporating these insights, we continue to refine la-on’s marketing approach. In this way, we build not only visibility, but also trust, lead generation, customer engagement and strategic growth.

la-on

The results

In short: la-on became more visible, more customer-focused and commercially stronger, with a marketing strategy that also supports the firm’s broader growth.
